Another tragic nightclub shooting has occurred in a West Palm Beach bar. The altercation began in the parking lot and ended in a shooting. The nightclub where the shooting occurred is called Jimmy's Café and is located off Military Trail, west of I-95. One victim was shot, but has survived. The victim remains hospitalized for the gunshot injuries.
What Could Have Been Done Differently to Properly Secure This Bar?
It is unclear which, if any, security measures would have prevented this individual shooting from occurring. However, many nightclubs in the US scan customers for firearms at the entrance to the club, usually with a metal detector. If a bar establishment has a historical problem with fights in the parking lot, the establishment may consider placing security guards in and around its premises.
